Electric aircraft advance as Vertical Aerospace plans first public eVTOL flight demonstration

British aerospace company Vertical Aerospace is set to make history at the Farnborough International Airshow by conducting the first-ever public eVTOL flight demonstrations at the event. The company recently received expanded flight approval from the UK Civil Aviation Authority, allowing it to fly its Valo aircraft beyond its test center for the first time. Key milestones ahead include completing a Critical Design Review by end of 2026 and beginning hybrid-electric flight testing in early 2027.
