We got a sneak peek of the final space shuttle set to go on public display

The California Science Center in Los Angeles is set to open the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center on November 13, 2026, featuring space shuttle Endeavour displayed vertically — as it would appear on a launch pad — alongside its external tank and solid rocket boosters. This first-of-its-kind display took four years to build and includes a dramatic reveal experience, multiple viewing levels, and a glass elevator ascending a full gantry beside the shuttle.
