SpaceX gets a green light to more than double its Florida launches

SpaceX has gained FAA approval to increase annual Falcon 9 launches from Cape Canaveral to 120, up from 50. The approval includes a new on-site landing zone for up to 34 booster landings yearly, reducing offshore recoveries. Environmental protections for wildlife, water, and lighting are included. While additional approvals are needed, this decision will help manage SpaceX's growing launch schedule, which is expected to reach 132 launches by 2024, serving various customers and projects.
