South Korea plans massive humanoid robot push to counter China challenge

South Korea has launched the "K-Humanoid Alliance" to develop humanoid robots for manufacturing. Over 40 robotics companies, battery makers, and research institutions signed an agreement to collaborate on AI systems for humanoids. The initiative aims to boost South Korea's competitiveness in the growing humanoid robot market, projected to reach $38 billion by 2035. The government will provide funding support, with projects involving multiple alliance members receiving priority.
