Ready-made stem cell therapies for pets could be coming

Gallant, a San Diego startup, has raised $18 million to develop the first FDA-approved ready-to-use stem cell therapy for veterinary medicine, initially targeting Feline Chronic Gingivostomatitis. The company's innovative approach uses donor animal cells, even from different species. Led by Digitalis Ventures, with participation from NovaQuest Capital Management, this funding brings Gallant's total raised to $44 million. FDA approval is expected by early 2026.
