Google's new AI feature for Chrome will sniff out scammy sites

Google is introducing an AI-powered scam detection system for Chrome on Windows, Mac, and Linux. The feature, called Client Side Detection Brand and Intent for Scam Detection, uses an on-device language model to analyze web pages for potential scams without compromising privacy. This comes amid a surge in cyber attacks, with over 600 million incidents daily. The feature will be enabled by default once fully rolled out, but users can access it now in Chrome Canary by toggling a specific flag in the settings.
