Google reveals Gemini Robotics 2.0, promising improved dexterity and safety

Google has unveiled Gemini Robotics 2.0, a suite of three AI models designed to make robots more capable, flexible, and safe. The standout upgrade is the Gemini Robotics ER 2 model, which processes live video feeds to track task progress, identify key moments with nearly 90% accuracy, and recover from mistakes mid-task. The new system also enables multiple robots to collaborate, and includes a new safety benchmark to prevent harm when robots work near humans.
