Google adds music generation capabilities to the Gemini app

Google launched a music generation feature in its Gemini app powered by DeepMind's Lyria 3 model, allowing users to create 30-second songs with lyrics by describing what they want or uploading photos and videos for mood-based tracks. The AI tool generates original music rather than copying existing artists, includes SynthID watermarks to identify AI-generated content, and is available globally to users 18+ in eight languages including English and Spanish.
