Figure plans to start alpha testing its humanoid robot in homes by late 2025, two years ahead of schedule, due to advancements in its Vision-Language-Action model, Helix. This system enables sophisticated upper-body control, multi-robot collaboration, and handling of unfamiliar objects using natural language commands. Running on low-power GPUs with a single set of neural network weights, Helix could significantly expand humanoid robot capabilities in industrial and residential settings.
