Apple and Google team up to make iPhone and Android switching easier

Apple and Google are collaborating to streamline data transfer between iPhone and Android devices through new cross-platform switching features. The enhanced experience begins rolling out today with an Android Canary build for Pixel devices and will be included in an upcoming iOS 26 developer beta. The companies plan to expand support for additional data types throughout the beta testing process, while users can continue using existing Move to iOS and Android Switch apps during development.
