Android is getting a new look with Google's Material 3 Expressive

Google will introduce Material 3 Expressive, its new design language, at the I/O conference. The updated UI focuses on color, shape, size, motion, and containment to enhance navigation and user experience. Changes include larger buttons, high-contrast boundaries, and redesigned layouts. Focus groups identified UI features significantly faster with the new design. Material 3 Expressive will be implemented across Google apps, Android 16, and possibly Wear OS.
