Google’s future data centers will be built next to solar and wind farms

Google, Intersect Power, and TPG Rise Climate are launching a $20 billion project to build data centers with on-site renewable energy. The first facility is set to be partially operational by 2026 and fully completed by 2027. This initiative aims to avoid pollution from connecting to fossil fuel-based power grids, especially as AI increases electricity demand.
