Wisp – open-source private desktop AI overlay with MCP support

Wisp is an open-source desktop AI overlay that lets users get AI help without switching apps or breaking their workflow. By pressing a hotkey, users can pull selected text, clipboard content, browser pages, or screen snips into an AI query, streaming the answer directly into a small floating bubble. It supports voice input, text-to-speech, custom actions, local memory, and MCP server integration, while keeping all data on the user's machine unless explicitly sent to a chosen AI provider.
