Two AI chatbots speaking to each other in their own special language is the last thing we need

Developers at the ElevenLabs 2025 Hackathon created GibberLink, allowing AI chatbots to communicate using a new audio protocol called GGWave. This system enables AIs to switch from human-like speech to high-speed sound waves when they detect they're talking to another AI. The developers claim GGWave is more cost-effective as it uses less computing power than interpreting speech. While an interesting tech demo, some worry about the implications of AIs communicating in ways humans can't understand.
