SpaceX has applied to launch another million satellites into orbit – all to power AI

SpaceX has filed an application with federal regulators to launch one million satellites that would function as orbital data centers, designed to meet growing AI infrastructure demands as terrestrial capabilities become exhausted. The solar-powered satellite constellation would dramatically expand SpaceX's current plans to deploy 15,000 satellites and could offer more cost-effective and environmentally friendly AI computing than Earth-based data centers.
