Google announced Project Suncatcher, a plan to deploy swarms of AI-powered satellites in orbit equipped with its Tensor Processing Units to handle growing artificial intelligence computing demands. The space-based data centers would use unlimited solar power and radiate heat into space, potentially creating terawatt-class orbital computing capabilities by 2027.
