Google Gemini is set to finally reach its full potential – and take over from Google Assistant – thanks to a major upgrade

Google is introducing the Gemini Utilities Extension for Android, enabling Gemini to perform tasks like opening apps, setting alarms, taking photos, and controlling media playback. This update, which replaces some Google Assistant functions, is gradually rolling out to Android users. Gemini Live, the voice-controlled version, is not receiving these upgrades yet.
