As more Americans adopt AI tools, fewer say they can trust the results

Despite growing AI adoption among Americans, with usage rising from 67% to 73% since April, trust in the technology remains critically low, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll. Only 21% of respondents trust AI-generated information most of the time, while 76% rarely or sometimes trust it, creating a "striking contradiction" between widespread use and deep skepticism. This hesitancy stems from concerns about job displacement, with 70% believing AI will reduce employment opportunities, and fears about transparency and regulation in the rapidly evolving industry.
