YouTube is once again trying to make DMs happen

YouTube has launched a new test of direct messaging features for users 18 and older in Ireland and Poland, allowing them to share and discuss videos privately within the platform. This marks the company's second attempt at DMs after previously adding the feature in 2017 and removing it in 2019 to focus on public comment discussions. Google says the reintroduction comes from user demand, though messages will be monitored for community guideline violations.
