X adds a video editor to encourage creators to post original content, not stolen reposts

X is rolling out new video editing tools — including multilingual captions, customizable text, and green-screen features — to push creators toward making original content instead of reposting stolen videos. X's head of product admitted that many top accounts regularly share stolen material. However, without stronger content protection tools, better bot controls, and competitive payouts, creators may still prefer TikTok, YouTube, or Meta.
