Wonder’s Robot Cooks Circles Around Every Human on the Line

Wonder, the food company backed by Marc Lore, unveiled a robotic kitchen system that makes 500 burrito bowls, salads, and poke bowls per hour — compared to 45 for a human worker. Wonder paid $186.4 million to acquire the technology from Sweetgreen and plans 50–100 installations by 2027. With restaurant labor costs at nearly 37% of sales, this automation could dramatically cut costs across Wonder's 29 restaurant concepts.
