WhatsApp is getting AI-powered summaries for unread chats

WhatsApp is testing an AI feature on Android to summarize unread messages in chats, groups, and channels. The opt-in "Private Processing" feature generates brief recaps without storing content or linking it to users. It's disabled for conversations using Advanced Privacy. A "Writing Help" feature is also in development to improve message tone and clarity. Both features use cloud processing for privacy, with availability and language support details pending.
