Two space startups have merged to create the next generation of telescopes

Observable Space, resulting from the OurSky and PlaneWave Instruments merger, aims to revolutionize space observation by combining software and telescope manufacturing. The company creates integrated solutions for improved telescope use and new market opportunities, serving customers like NASA and the U.S. Space Force. Observable Space focuses on enhancing object tracking, spacecraft communication, and defense applications in the space economy. The merged entity has raised $11 million and employs around 100 people across three states.
