To achieve major goals, NASA seeks to streamline its organization

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman announced a major restructuring to cut bureaucracy, reduce management layers, and give field centers more direct funding. Six mission directorates are being consolidated into four, and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory's management contract will face open competition for the first time since the 1950s.
