The Windows Command Prompt is getting faster, smarter, and a lot more modern

Microsoft has released a major overhaul of the Windows Command Prompt in its latest Windows 11 Insider Preview build, introducing modern features previously exclusive to Windows Terminal. The updated console now supports inline graphics rendering, delivers up to ten times faster scrolling performance, and includes improved clipboard reliability with bug fixes for text deletion issues. Additional enhancements include regular expression support in the Find dialog, better text rendering with bold font support, and improved accessibility features for assistive technologies.
