South Korea deploys hologram police officer to fight crime – and it's working

South Korea's life-size police officer hologram in a Seoul park has reduced crime by over 20% since its October deployment. The 5'6" uniformed projection, appearing nightly between 7pm-10pm, reminds visitors they're being monitored and that police will respond to emergencies in real time. Though unable to make arrests, the glowing blue hologram's psychological presence effectively deters disorder in an area previously prone to public disturbances.
