Smart Adhesive Is Key to Crease-Free Foldable iPhone Display

Apple's first foldable iPhone, expected this September, will rely on advanced optically clear adhesive (OCA) technology to achieve a nearly invisible crease in the display. The smart adhesive stays flexible during gradual bending while stiffening under sudden impact, and flows into microscopic irregularities to reduce light scattering and minimize crease visibility. Apple has reportedly spared no expense to eliminate creases, with production orders specifying a crease depth under 0.15mm, potentially capturing 20% of the foldable smartphone market.
