Slack is turning Slackbot into an AI assistant

Slack is upgrading its basic Slackbot into a comprehensive AI assistant that can create custom workspace plans, search through messages using natural language, and gather information across multiple channels. The new AI-powered Slackbot will help users find documents, organize project launches, schedule meetings, and answer questions like "What are my priorities for today?" by drawing from conversations and files. After testing with Salesforce's 70,000 employees, Slack plans to roll out the enhanced assistant to all users by year-end.
