Meta Expects AI Characters to Generate and Share Social Media Content

Meta plans to integrate AI-generated characters on Instagram and Facebook, allowing them to have profiles and share content. The company has launched a tool for creating these characters, with hundreds of thousands already made. Meta is also developing AI features for content creators, including photo editing tools and assistants. Despite concerns about misuse, AI-generated content must be clearly labeled. In September 2023, Meta introduced 28 AI personas with unique personalities to enhance user interactions and improve search and recommendation functions.
