I turned the Lego Game Boy into a working Game Boy

When the Lego Game Boy building kit was announced, a Game Boy hardware expert decided to turn the toy into an actual functioning handheld console by designing a custom circuit board that fits inside the Lego structure. Using their knowledge of Game Boy schematics and working only from press photos for measurements, they created a PCB featuring a Game Boy Pocket CPU with internal VRAM, power regulation, and connections for the Lego's pressable buttons and screen area.
