I built myself a watch

A watch enthusiast built their own Rolex Explorer II-inspired wristwatch using parts purchased online for about 130€. The process involved sourcing components and carefully assembling them. Despite challenges like precise hand placement and stem cutting, the result was a functional, accurate timepiece. The project offered insights into watchmaking and revealed good quality in affordable parts, including a bracelet with an on-the-fly adjustment feature typically found in more expensive watches.
