Google’s Willow chip echoes from the quantum deep

Google's Willow quantum chip completed a calculation 13,000 times faster than the world's most powerful supercomputer, Frontier, finishing in days what would take classical machines 150 years. The 105-qubit chip uses a "Quantum Echoes" algorithm that sends signals through qubits and analyzes returning interference waves to reveal complex system behaviors. Tests on real molecules showed the chip can detect molecular details that traditional instruments miss, while maintaining verifiable results that other quantum systems can reproduce.
