Google now lets you direct avatars through prompts in its Vids app

Google enhanced its Vids video editor app with AI-powered features that let users direct virtual avatars through simple text commands, allowing the digital characters to interact with products and props while maintaining visual consistency. The update also includes Veo 3.1 video generation capabilities, direct YouTube export functionality, and a Chrome screen-recording extension, positioning Vids to compete with established avatar-creation platforms like Synthesia and HeyGen.
