France is ditching Zoom and Microsoft Teams for a homegrown video platform

France is replacing US video platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams across its public sector with Visio, a homegrown system designed to keep government data within European borders. The rollout to 200,000 civil servants will save approximately €1 million annually per 100,000 users while addressing security concerns about American companies' access to European data under US law.
