Coca-Cola’s new hydrogen-powered vending machine doesn’t need a power outlet

Coca-Cola is introducing hydrogen-powered vending machines at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. Developed with Fuji Electric, these machines use replaceable hydrogen cartridges to generate electricity, eliminating the need for a power outlet. The company plans to install 58 machines at the Expo, each featuring an educational display about hydrogen power. This innovation could allow vending machines to be placed in more locations, though regular maintenance and restocking will still be necessary.
