Chrome’s new dynamic bottom bar gives websites a little more room to breathe

Google is rolling out an update to Chrome for Android that hides the navigation bar background, creating a more immersive browsing experience. This change, available in Chrome version 135, allows web pages to extend to the bottom of the screen, increasing usable space. The gesture handle remains visible, changing color to stay visible against different backgrounds. However, this feature only works with gesture navigation, not the traditional three-button layout.
