Chipotle’s testing an avocado-peeling robot and an automated bowl assembly line

Chipotle is testing two new robotic systems to streamline food preparation. The Autocado robot can peel and seed avocados in 26 seconds, while the Augmented Makeline automatically assembles bowls and salads. These innovations aim to free up employees for other tasks and improve efficiency, especially for digital orders. Chipotle has invested in both technologies through its $100 million venture fund. The robots are currently being tested in California stores.
