Banning Phones in Schools Is Drastically Changing the Behavior of Kids

Schools across the United States have implemented phone bans, with at least 31 states now restricting cell phone use during school hours. Students report dramatically increased social interaction and noise levels in previously silent lunchrooms as kids are forced to talk face-to-face instead of staring at screens. Teachers surveyed in New York found 89 percent believe the ban improved school environments, while analog activities like note-passing and Polaroid photos are making a comeback.
