Aura Ink digitalizes picture frames with an e-ink display

Aura Ink has launched a $499 digital picture frame using e-ink technology to mimic traditional printed photos. The 13.3-inch color display has 1600x1200 resolution, reflects light like paper, and delivers three months of battery life since it only uses power when changing images. Users can upload unlimited photos through a smartphone app and switch between pictures instantly, though the frame requires WiFi connectivity and depends on Aura's servers.
