Apple introduces live translation across Messages, FaceTime, and Phone at WWDC 25

Apple is introducing Live Translation for Messages, FaceTime, and Phone calls, powered by on-device Apple Intelligence. This feature automatically translates conversations in real-time, allowing users to communicate seamlessly across languages. In Messages, text is translated as you type. FaceTime calls include live captions, while phone calls offer spoken translations for both parties. The technology runs entirely on the device, ensuring privacy. Apple is also providing an API for developers to integrate live translation into their communication apps.
