Apple has four new iPhone satellite features rumored, here’s what’s coming

Apple is developing four major satellite features for future iPhones, starting with 5G over satellite connectivity through the new C2 modem expected in the iPhone 18 Pro models this fall, which will dramatically increase connection speeds. Additional planned features include Apple Maps functionality over satellite, the ability to send photos through Messages via satellite rather than just text, and a third-party API allowing developers to integrate satellite connectivity into their apps.
