Android phones are getting more anti-theft features

Google launched expanded anti-theft features for Android devices to deter criminals from targeting smartphones, particularly high-end models like Pixel Pro and Samsung devices. The updates include stronger authentication safeguards such as enhanced Failed Authentication Lock controls, longer lockout times after failed login attempts, and expanded Identity Check protection for biometric-secured apps. Remote Lock now requires security challenges to verify device owners, while Brazil will have theft detection and remote lock features enabled by default.
