An AI-developed drug appeared to make patients biologically younger in a clinical trial

An AI-developed drug called rentosertib showed signs of slowing biological aging in a small clinical trial. Originally designed to treat a lung-scarring disease, the drug caused six different aging models to predict younger biological ages in treated patients, with reductions of roughly 2.7 to 3.5 years. Researchers caution that these results are preliminary and a larger phase 3 trial is planned.
