1.5 billion people see Google's AI Overviews each month

Google's AI Overviews feature now reaches 1.5 billion monthly users, or 18% of the global population. These AI-generated recaps appear atop search results for complex questions, driving a 10% increase in search usage for such queries. Available in over 200 countries and 40 languages, the feature has surpassed Google's initial goal of one billion monthly users. However, the service is not infallible and can sometimes provide inaccurate information.
