Xiaomi released U0, a 38-billion parameter open model that generates synthetic robot training data rather than controlling robots directly. Using U0 boosted a robot's success on unfamiliar real-world tasks from 36.9% to 63.2%, suggesting that high-quality generated data could meaningfully accelerate robot learning without requiring costly real-world collection.
