‘World’s cheapest shot’ laser weapon kills 50 drones a minute with 150kW beam

EOS, an Australian tech company, has introduced "Apollo," a high-energy laser weapon that can destroy 20-50 drones per minute at low cost. Scalable to 150kW, Apollo offers 360-degree coverage, neutralizing drones up to 1.86 miles away and disrupting sensors up to 9.32 miles. Housed in a portable container, it deploys within two hours and integrates with NATO systems. EOS recently secured the first export contract for a 100kW-class laser weapon to a European NATO member, signaling a shift toward directed energy weapons in modern warfare.
