Wet coffee grounds in South Korea turned into high-grade solid fuel in just 90 seconds

Korean researchers have developed a way to turn wet coffee grounds into high-quality fuel in just 90 seconds, with no drying needed. Using a flame plasma process reaching 900°C, the resulting biochar matches anthracite coal's energy output at 29.0 MJ/kg. The technology is up to 240 times faster than existing methods and could eventually process other wet organic waste like food scraps and sewage sludge.
