Researchers at NTNU developed a revolutionary laser that overcomes major limitations of traditional precision lasers, which are typically bulky, expensive, and difficult to operate. The new laser offers fast performance, affordability, and easy control through chip-based technology, enabling accurate measurements within four centimeters for self-driving car navigation systems and effective detection of toxic gases like hydrogen cyanide.
