The Boring Company’s Vegas Loop is a comedy of trespassing errors

The Vegas Loop, an underground tunnel system built by Elon Musk's Boring Company, has fallen short of its promised futuristic transit solution. Instead of autonomous vehicles, it uses regular Tesla cars and hasn't solved traffic problems. The system has faced numerous issues, including 67 trespassing reports and 22 instances of unauthorized vehicles entering the tunnels since 2022. Construction safety concerns have also emerged, with 36 worker injuries reported in a six-month period. Despite these problems, Clark County approved plans to expand the system to 65 miles with 69 stations.
