Scientists create four low-carbon fuels that could keep gasoline engines running

Researchers at the University of Sharjah have developed four low-carbon gasoline blends, called HyperFuel-95 through HyperFuel-102, that could reduce emissions without requiring drivers to switch to electric vehicles. The fuels combine bio-derived ingredients with petroleum components, including a new additive called MED, which boosts octane ratings up to 102. Lab tests confirm the blends meet regulatory standards, though commercial production still needs further economic and supply-chain evaluation.
